I was born and raised in Russellville, Arkansas.  I graduated from Russellville High School in 1978.  Then I attended Arkansas Technical University in Russellville, wherein I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science in 1982.  I returned to Arkansas Tech for work on a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1983.   After ATU, I attended Northwestern State University to work on a Master’s Degree in the summer of 1983 at which time I found out that I had been accepted to the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  I attended the University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville and received my Juris Doctorate degree in May of 1986. I passed the Arkansas State Bar Examination in the summer of 1986 and have served as an attorney since that time.

After graduating from law school, I served in an office with my brother, Dennis C. Sutterfield, in Russellville, Arkansas.  My brother, Dennis Sutterfield, was elected to serve as a Circuit Judge at which time he closed the Russellville office.  I have since opened offices in Conway, Little Rock, and Searcy, Arkansas.

I have served as a trial lawyer for over 20 years and my practice areas include personal injury, domestic relations (divorce, custody, child support, etc.), adoption and guardianship, criminal, civil, and property law.
